My brother injured his toe in soccer a month or so ago and at first it just his entire toe just turned black but today it's only black a bit on the bottom of the nail, and the rest of the nail is whitish and it's super loose, like you could pull it out. Is is something serious? Will he loose his nail? He's going to the doctor tomorrow, should he wait that long? Please help!What does a black loose toe nail mean?

The black is just blood pooling underneath the nail, and it can't escape.
He will probably lose the nail, and the flesh underneath it will be tender, but there shouldn't be any damage worse than that.
The nail probably won't even hurt falling out, so there's not much worry.
He is loosing his nail no worries just wait til he see's the dr.
The nail grows back. I've done that to one of mine before. I know many others who have too. I wouldn't worry about it.
