How long does a black nail usually last?

It has to grow out completely. The average is about 4-6 months. Don't try to hurry it along by clipping it short as it gets close to fully grown out. You can try to cover it up with dark polish, but it will probably show through. I have a bruised tonail that has been growing out since June. It's about 2/3 of the way there.

Unfortunately, you can't speed up the process. How long does a black nail usually last?
A black nail depending on which part of the nails (base, middle, or bottom) will become normal again in about 6 months.

(There are a few tips in order to avoid an hematoma (the cause of the black color)... My grandma used to put a chopped onion when she had a finger nail hurt that much...)

If you have a black nail you can use a colored base coat, a strong dark nail polish (red or mauve), a few sparkling stones an a good pedicure by an expert every 3 weeksHow long does a black nail usually last?
It'll take as long as it takes to grow the black bit out. i caught my thumb in a van door and it took 6 months.
