Would black nail polish make someone seem goth?

Ok,I really like black nail polish but im a really preppy girl and i dont want to seem like a goth. Would it be okay?Would black nail polish make someone seem goth?

But, I've noticed that if I wear skinny jeans and a red top, while wearing black nail polish I get called 'emo'.

No, it actually looks pretty chic if you have a good manicure. If you still think it may look goth try deep plums, wines or chocolate. They're still really dark but not as harsh as black. I use a color called ';rich in heart'; by sinful colors. They sell it at walgreens.



No, not at all, as long as your clothes aren't black. The nail polish shouldn't match your clothes, but complment them. so, wearing a red shirt with skinny jeans or something, and black nail polish will give you a classic look. Same as for a white shirt.

the only way your going to look goth with black nail polish on is if your wearing all black and have black eye lines smeared all over your face .

No, i do it all the time, it's not gothic. Just make sure you wear it with like a normal preppy outfit. sometimes I'll even wear it with converses, and some cute jeans and a t-shirt, and a preppy jacket. LC off of the hills do it, so it will be okay. haha.
Well, I am the same way. The only problem is that people you know will probably give you crap for it since you are a preppy girl, but I myself don't think it looks bad at all if your dressing nice and stuff.
I don't think wearing black nail polish is gothic anybody can we're it. I personally am a prep and I love black nail polish.
No, black or navy nails are quite coool. just dont go for the goth look with black hair, heavy make up, and dress completely in black if thats not the look your going for.
coming from a goth girl, no, everyone and their grandma wears black nail polish these days. Just go light on the eye liner.
