What do you think about black nail polish?

i'm not goth or anything. my nails are short too.


i wear it because i like how it's edgy and it reflects the way feel (i can't really explain it.. artsy, edgy, and creative i suppose). i just hope i don't intimidate or give people the wrong impression of me when i do wear it since i'll be meeting lot's of new people in college in the fall.What do you think about black nail polish?

i see nothing wrong with black nailpolish. i really like it! my parents arent crazy about it but i dont really care. lol! im not goth either but i still wear it. if they dont like you bc of whats on your nails then theyre pretty lame and arent someone that i would want to be around anyway.
I love black nail polish!!! If you want to fit in you can still wear it but add your own flair to it. Sometimes I put color dots on top of mine or I do the yen and yang symbol half white half black with a curvy middle line with the opposite color dots on each side usually I do that on just my thumb nails and paint the rest of my nails black. You have to be comfortable with who you are and everyone would like you for who you are and not what color nail polish your wearing. College is cool like that where you meet a lot of cool people who don't look at appearance but at personality. So good luck!!!

I'm not goth and have wore black nail polish. I like it to mix it around with my fall color nail polish.
black on short nails is last year- this fall go for a dark mauve/purple (almost black) think fall 96 and channel's vamp

I four worried about intimidating people in college then dont wear for a while get a manicure - they look pretty and like you take good care of yourself! The when you have settled in wear it!
i like black nail polish. Its hot! If people are going to judge you by your fingernails then screw them lol I would wear it but i'm more of a multi color polish person more-so than a solid color. Im all about self expression.
if u wear bright clothing or clothing that dosent look goth then i dont think the polish should look goth, i hope this helps=)
black nail polish is yucky
i see nothing wrong with black polish. when my nails are short, i'll wear it. or i use it in nail designs.


but with long nails, avoid it. otherwise you'll look a bit...eh. its not a pretty gothy look.
I think black nail polish is fine. It lets you express yourself. It's not about the color of nail polish, it's about your personality and attitude when it comes to meeting new people.

As long as you fix it when it starts to chip, I think it's cool. I liked to put a black stripe down the middle of each nail. I copied it from Steven Tyler (singer of Aerosmith)

Chanel Black Satin nailpolish is beautiful! Also for something almost black, try Chanel Vamp (really deep red) or OPI Lincoln Park After Dark (deep blackish-purple).





P.S. everyone and their mother was wearing black nailpolish last winter so I don't think it's considered goth anymore once Jessica Simpson is wearing it!

When I see a girl with black nail polish (especially one who I don't consider to be a ';goth';), I get very annoyed. It sends off a poser vibe to me. Like the girl who's wearing is just trying to be cool. Plus, I think it looks very tacky.
