It either symbolizes 90% of the teenage 'dark' stage, or someone who has no taste. Black nail polish is tacky when worn on any other day besides Halloween, and is trashy, trashy, trashy, especially when used for french manicures.

Most would label them as emo, but I think it depends on what else the person is wearing. Like one of my friends is a total girlie girl prep who sometimes wears black nail polish. And it doesnt really have that same effect.
It doesn't really mean anything unless you make it mean something. I've worn it before cause I thought it looked cool. But it can symbolize grief, death, or even happiness it all depends on the persons point of view.
if you wear it with lots of dark colors like black or other dark colors its labeled as emo or goth.





if you wear it with bright colored clothes its labeled as just trying to tone down the colors in your outfit.

In maa opinion, black nail polish means rebellion.
it just depends on the people's clothing because I wear that polish but for nothing just cause. I'm not gothic but I like that color. To me it doesn't symbolize anything but your taste
i personally like the trend so i don't think you're labeled anything unless you're wearing entirely black
I think goths wear it but people who are not goth wear it to so I don't know.
