Is it okay to wear black nail polish in spring/summer?

My style is unique and kind of punk. I am a black female and my complexion is kind of pale. My b/f says that he would prefer that I wear lighter colors such as hot pink, red or orange. I wear black on my toes and fingernails because I think it goes better with my skin tone. I can't imagine myself wearing any other shade (except maroon or plum) because I am emo! Should I brighten up for spring and summer?Is it okay to wear black nail polish in spring/summer?
NO black nail polish is really early 2007. It's been out for ages now but people just don't seem to care.

People naturally say to use bright colors in the summer.....but if you think they dont look good on you, then why would you want to do that?!

Why not paint a stripe or dots of pink on maroon, baby blue on navy, mint on hunter, silver on plum, or orange on chocolate brown?


Ask your boyfriend if you can paint HIS nails red, pink, or orange!!!
It's up to you. You can wear black nail polish any season, if you wanted. Although.. if you want to change it up, wear lime green, orange, hot pink, or electric blue. They're fun colors that are still different and unique.
Yes. Do what makes you feel comfortable and you said it yourself that you are emo and that you like it because it goes with your skin tone. Don't change because your boyfriend wants you too.
