How to get my mom to buy me black nail polish?

I'm in high school, and I'm sort of scene-ish emo-ish, but my mom won't let me buy anything she doesn't approve of. I love twilight and it took a heck of alot of reverse psychology to let her get me a twilight backpack! She hates hot topic (best store ever), hates converse, hates skulls and crossbones, hates twilight, and pretty much everything about my style!

Ask her nicely. If she says no, I wouldn't push it further. Your mom has the right to think what she wants and while she may not approve of your style, look at it this way...you are your own unique person. There are always going to be people who disapprove of something because they may not be used to it. But wear what you're comfortable with, just remember to make sure it's not offensive or provocative because that could cause worse problems.





You should either buy the nail polish yourself, or respectfully explain to your mom why you would like to get it. I wouldn't over exaggerate or push her too far, but let her know this is the style you like and it's what you feel comfortable in. Maybe even tell her that she does not have to like what you wear, but you would simply like her to respect your decisions.

go to the mall buy the nail polish hide the nail polish remover go to ur friends house paint them black then take it home and if your mom complains say well this was the only color she had then shrug you shoulders and look down like you are dissapointed in urself
whoaa.. i hate parents who don't let their kids do things that they like...they only live once, let them make their own mistakes and have their own style...





but i am really sorry, i have no idea how to make her change her mind because my parents arent like that.
Tell her it's your personal style and that she shouldn't be trying to change who you are because you'll never change for anybody but yourself.

Buy it yourself? Or since Halloween is coming up you could say it is a part of your costume or something like that.
buy it your self wear it if she doest approve take it off simple! :)
my moms the same with makeup well i earn some money and buy it myself and if she gets angry i say i bought this myself!
